Natural flavors are combinations of flavor compounds that are quite precious. Because of that, companies often need to keep their exact recipes proprietary, as we do. But all companies should be more than willing to share a bit behind the process. So let’s jump into that.
Our natural flavors aren’t like regular ones - they are organic-compliant natural flavors, which means they’re produced in a way approved by the USDA’s National Organic Program for inclusion in a certified organic product. That means they never include synthetic solvents, preservatives, or MSG. We create our natural flavors from multiple organic-compliant flavor compounds. (Flavor compounds are the components of what builds the taste of a fruit or vegetable.)
By blending multiple compounds into one flavor, we have the ability to play with different essences and extracts to create one strong single flavor (similar to how a cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg blend tastes like allspice).
The best part about our process is that is it allows us to create truly natural flavors without using any synthetic ingredients.
